Pediatric Cardiologist
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
Dr. Tim Slesnick is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. I joined Emory University School of Medicine in July of 2011, with my clinical and research focus on non-invasive imaging in both echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. I currently serve as the Director of Pediatric Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging and the Director of the Advanced Imaging Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology. My primary research interests involve myocardial and fluid mechanics evaluation by echocardiography and cardiac MRI. My team is working on novel imaging mechanisms, including MRI pulse sequence design. Over the last ten years, much of my research has been on surgical and trans-catheter pre- and intra-procedural planning utilizing cardiac MRI.
