Dr. Thomas Stiermaier graduated from Medical University of Vienna, Austria. He currently works as an interventional cardiologist at University Heart Center Lübeck, Germany, where he also coordinates the cardiac magnetic resonance program. Dr. Stiermaier recently completed his postdoctoral thesis (habilitation) at University of Lübeck, Germany. His research focuses on acute myocardial infarction, Takotsubo syndrome, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. Dr. Stiermaier is particularly interested in clinical outcomes, individualized risk stratification, and the translation of novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to clinical practice.
