Senior Lecturer
UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science, United Kingdom
Gaby is a consultant cardiologist in inherited heart muscle diseases, and senior clinical lecturer based at the Royal Free Hospital and UCL who has done 9 years research in CMR and developmental cardiac biology.
Her research led to the application of mathematical fractal algorithms to CMR in humans and cardiomorphogenesis in mouse, for the improved quantification of myocardial trabeculae. She invented the T1 Mapping Phantom (T1MES) which received FDA and CE-mark clearance and is now a commercially available product along with a more recent T2 Mapping Phantom. She invented and patented the first washable and re-usable CMR-ECGI vest for noninvasive and high-throughput panoramic mapping of the human heart linked to CMR. She is a faculty board member of the British Society of CMR tasked with Communications and IT.
