Assistant Professor
Baylor College of Medicine / Texas Children's Hospital
I am a pediatric cardiologist with additional fellowship training in advanced cardiac imaging, including cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. I have a particular interest in aortopathy and Fontan circulation. I see patients in our Cardiovascular Genetics Clinic and Fontan Go clinic at Texas Children’s Hospital. My research efforts parallel my clinical interests, where I am currently focusing on the use of cardiac MRI in the evaluation of the myocardium and aorta. My past and current research has included the use of cardiac MRI to assess myocardial strain. Current research also utilizes three-dimensional time-resolved contrast CMR (i.e.” 4D flow”) to assess flow properties through the great arteries.
CMR Associations of Diastolic Dysfunction in Fontan patients. A FORCE registry study.
