Daniel Hawkins is the CEO of Vista.ai, a pioneer of AI-powered solutions to automate and simplify MRI scanning, making high-quality diagnostic imaging faster, more consistent, and widely accessible. With over 30 years of MedTech experience, Daniel has a proven track record of driving innovation and achieving landmark exits, including IPOs and multi-billion-dollar acquisitions.
As the founding CEO of Shockwave Medical and inventor of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL), Daniel led the development of the technology and creation of the IVL market setting the stage for a successful public offering and subsequent $13.1 billion acquisition of Shockwave by Johnson & Johnson. A named inventor on over 160 patents, he has also held key leadership roles at Advanced Cardiovascular Systems, Intuitive Surgical (where he helped launch the DaVinci surgical robot) and other industry-leading companies. Recognized as a transformative leader, Daniel is dedicated to advancing healthcare technology that improves clinical medicine for the benefit of patients and the people who care for them.
