- Dr. Julián Vega Adauy is a Chilean cardiologist specializing in advanced cardiac imaging, including echocardiography, cardiac CT, and cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR), holding Level III credentials in all echocardiographic techniques and CMR.
- Dr. Vega Adauy has been pivotal in establishing three independent CMR programs in Chile: one in the public sector at Hospital Sótero del Río, a tertiary care center serving over 4 million people. At Hospital Sótero del Río, he worked collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement advanced imaging techniques such as stress CMR, cardiac mapping, and 4D Flow. Notably, his team pioneered a first-of-its-kind public cardiogenetic clinic fully integrated with a CMR program in Chile, addressing the needs of underserved populations. This initiative reflects a groundbreaking collaboration between Cardiology and Radiology, setting a benchmark for multidisciplinary care in the country.
