Dr. Nadjia Kachenoura is an Inserm research Director. She was awarded her PhD in biomedical imaging from Université Paris-Sud (2007) and pursued a post-doc fellowship at University of Chicago. There she developed a profile in analysis of cardiac echo, CT and MRI. In 2014, she founded the cardiovascular imaging (LIB-ICV) team at SU/INSERM/CNRS and became the head of a multidisciplinary group. She has contributed to >200 publications, primarily on the analysis of morphology and haemodynamics of the aorta and the heart and how these relate in a range of cardiovascular diseases. These are widely cited with a H-index of 28. She is PI of 5 national projects and 2 international projects (USA, Argentina) and a WP leader of several European projects (H2020 MAESTRIA project, EIT Health CMRAI project, SESAME Cohort Project), for a total of €3M funding. She received more than 24 invited talks at international meetings. Since 2014, she hired three permanent positions and supervised 9 PhD students, 3 post-docs, 6 research engineers and >30 masters students, who gained several awards. She also is a member of the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology and organizing the annual scientific meeting in Paris. She is a member of the e-cardiology working group of the European Society of Cardiology and was elected member of the National Committee of CNRS in charge of hiring future researchers in the field of health technologies in France. Dr. Kachenoura is committed to international collaborations with the University of Chicago, Johns Hopkins University, University of Favaloro and University of Bologna.
