Hyun Jung Koo, MD, PhD

Hyun Jung Koo, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at Asan Medical Center, specializing in Cardiovascular Imaging. She earned her medical degree and master's degree from Ewha Womans University, followed by an internship and residency in Radiology at Asan Medical Center.
Her research focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery diseases, heart diseases, aortic diseases, and other thoracic conditions, and she has an extensive record of publications in international journals. As the first or corresponding author, she has published over 50 papers in SCI-indexed journals. Dr. Koo has also been recognized with numerous awards from prestigious organizations, including the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the Korean Society of Radiology (KCR). She is deeply committed to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care through her ongoing research and clinical work.
