Dr. Luis A. Landeras, MD, is an Associate Professor of Radiology and the Section Chief of Cardiothoracic Imaging at the University of Chicago Medicine. He also serves as the Interim Co-Director of Cardiac CT and MRI. With an extensive background in radiology, Dr. Landeras brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, particularly in the areas of cardiac and thoracic imaging.
Dr. Landeras holds also key positions, including Director of the CardioPulmonary Fellowship and Computed Tomography Modality Director. His professional journey includes significant prior roles at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, where he was the Co-Director of Computed Tomography and Section Chief of Cardiothoracic Radiology.
Known for his contributions to research and academic excellence, Dr. Landeras has numerous publications in reputable journals. His work primarily focuses on advanced imaging techniques, including spectral CT, cardiac MRI, and CT, demonstrating his commitment to innovation in medical imaging.
