Jennifer H. Jordan, Ph.D., FSCMR, is an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering and the Pauley Heart Center at Virginia Commonwealth University and is the Director of the Cardiovascular MRI Core Lab. Dr. Jordan is an NIH, AHA, and PCORI-funded investigator on multicenter studies involving cardio-oncology, cardiac sarcoidosis, and electrophysiology pacing strategies. Dr. Jordan’s research focuses on combining functional and structural imaging techniques to provide insight into etiology of cardiovascular disease and potential role of interventional strategies to mitigate subsequent heart failure. She has extensive experience in bidirectional translational imaging work including clinical studies and population-based research at 1.5T and 3T across a range of vendors in single and multi-center studies. More recently, she is building on this work with the incorporation of machine learning and deep learning approaches for image enhancement, radiomic analyses, and classification algorithms. Dr. Jordan is an author of peer-reviewed articles published in Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging, Journal of the American College of Cardiology: Cardiovascular Imaging, and Circulation: Heart Failure.
