Cardiologist

Sebastian Kelle (cardiologist) is a professor of cardiac MRI at the Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité in Berlin (Germany) since 2017 and expert in cardiac MRI sequence development, clinical research in humans and also large animal studies. He led/leads different clinical imaging studies. After training in internal medicine and cardiology at the German Heart Center Berlin and Charité University Medicine Berlin he spend 2 years as a research fellow at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA. He founded in 2010 his own research group in Berlin and in 2014 the Cardiac MRI-CORE-LAB at Charité University Medicine Berlin and German Heart Center Berlin. Currently he is leading the Cardiovascular Imaging Unit (MRI & CT) at the Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité and serves as the Course Director of the CMR-Academy. In addition, he serves as the Past-Chair of the Advocacy Committee and current deputy chair of the International Outreach Committee of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) and is the past speaker of the working group of cardiac MRI (AG21) of the German Cardiac Society (DGK).
