Dr. Zhaoyang Fan is a tenured Associate Professor of Radiology and Radiation Oncology and Director of Magnetic Resonance (MR) Imaging Research at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. He holds a courtesy appointment at the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Fan's career as an MR imaging scientist has been focused on the development and clinical translation of novel MR methods for fast and precise assessment of human diseases. His current research interests include diagnosis and characterization of cardio- and neuro-vascular diseases, quantitative cancer imaging, and imaging-guided radiation therapy. He has authored over 140 peer-reviewed publications and over 300 conference abstracts. He is the Principal Investigator of NIH-funded projects and an active reviewer for funding agencies (NIH, American Heart Association), conferences, and journals.
