Medical Physicist

Dr Fyrdahl is a medical physicist and imaging scientist with a research focus on cardiovascular MR methodology development and translation into clinical applications. He received his degree in Medical Radiation Physics from Stockholm University, Sweden and his doctorate from the Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. After spending two years as a postdoc at the University of Michigan, he returned to a shared position between the Karolinska Institutet, and the Karolinska University Hospital in 2022. His research focuses on developing methods for motion robust and non-Cartesian imaging, as well as myocardial tissue mapping.
