Professor of Biomedical Imaging
University of Oxford, United Kingdom
I have over 30 years experience in interdisciplinary biomedical research, ranging from mathematical and biophysical modelling, measurement systems and methods design, direct clinical measurements, imaging and estimation using PET, SPECT, and MR, to clinical and self-assessment approaches. Applications include wide range of clinical specialties in Neurosciences (Neurosurgery, Neurology and Psychiatry), Dermatology, Cardiovascular and Internal Medicine. Over the course of my work in Warsaw University of Technology (Poland), Cambridge University (UK) Gothenburg Sahlgrenska University (Sweden) and Oxford University (UK), I co-authored ~300 research contributions, attracting >12000 citations, Hirsh index of 55. My most recent focus is in the clinical application of CMR parametric tissue characterisation techniques, in particular T1 mapping, image processing, quantitation and applied artificial intelligence approaches.
