I am Professor of Pediatrics at the Uconn School of Medicine and Head of Cardio-Oncoloy and Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging at Connecticut Children’s. I’m a highly experienced pediatric cardiologist and cardiac imager, with over 25 year of clinical, research and administrative experience in the field. I have expertise in advanced echocardiographic techniques and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI), with a special interest in myocardial mechanics and tissue characterization, including myocardial deformation analysis and T1/T2 mapping. My research interests center on the development of translational, and clinical approaches to predict cardiotoxicity, risk stratification and implementation of primary and secondary heart failure prevention strategies in pediatric cancer patients exposed to cardiotoxic therapy.
