Francois A. Pontana, PhD, EBCR

François Ascagne Pontana is a Professor of Radiology and Head of the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Imaging Unit at the Heart and Lung Institute of the University Hospitals of Lille. He is level 3 certified in cardiac MRI and CT by the European Board of Cardiovascular Radiology (EBCR) and his research focuses on biomarkers in cardiac MRI and photon-counting CT applied to cardiovascular and thoracic imaging. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of both the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology (ESCR) and the French Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (SFICV), contributing actively to advancements in the field. He is member of the French College of Radiology Teachers, responsible for the cardiac imaging training programme for French medical students and radiology residents.
