Dr. Arunark Kolipaka, PhD, FAHA is the Technical Director of MRI and Assistant Professor in the department of Radiology and Cardiovascular Medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Ohio. Dr. Kolipaka has been developing novel imaging techniques in the field of cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging for the past 15 years and has developed cardiovascular magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) from inception. He obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Mayo Clinic, College of Medicine, Rochester, MN. He has published more than 90 peer reviewed articles, three patents and is on editorial boards and reviewer for reputed journals. He also serves on American Heart Association (AHA) and National Institute of Health (NIH) grant review committees. For his work in cardiovascular imaging, he has been awarded Moncada Award by society of computed body tomography and magnetic resonance (SCBT-MR). He has been serving on international society of magnetic resonance in medicine (ISMRM) committees and been the Chair and founder of ISMRM-MRE study group. He also serves on society of cardiovascular magnetic resonance (SCMR) international outreach committee and educational committee. He is also the chair of MRE-Guidelines committee (worldwide). His research has been supported by NIH-R01, AHA, Marsden-New Zealand and State of Ohio grants.
