Assistant Professor
Northwestern University
I am an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University and the Director of the Personalized & Integrative Computational Cardiovascular Imaging (PIC-CVI) Lab. As a PhD scientist specializing in cardiovascular imaging and computational techniques, I lead an NIH-funded lab that integrates data science and advanced computational approaches to revolutionize cardiac MRI—spanning flow, function, structure, and mechanics—and personalized medicine. Our research combines mathematical modeling, AI/ML, and probabilistic analysis to advance personalized diagnostics, intervention planning, and outcome prediction.
By processing millions-to-billions of associations in near real-time, our methods enable clinicians to make more precise assessments for cardiovascular diseases, stroke risk, and catheter-ablation outcomes. At the core of our work is the analysis of large, complex datasets, linking imaging with clinical and outcomes data to create precise multiplexed disease signatures. My lab also develops self-calibrating imaging methods, advanced quantitative tools, and interpretable AI systems that deliver clinically translatable solutions at the intersection of computational cardiovascular imaging, cardiology, surgery, pulmonology, and neurology.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between cutting-edge imaging technology and personalized patient care, transforming the future of personalized medicine. To learn more about our work, visit our lab website: https://www.piccvilab.northwestern.edu/.
