Radiologist, PhD candidate
University of Bologna, Italy
I am Paola Franceschi, MD, Radiologist, and PhD Candidate at the University of Bologna. I graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, with a thesis on the role of cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) in patients with Tetralogy of Fallot. During my Radiology residency, I specialized in Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Radiology, focusing particularly on advanced imaging techniques. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD at the University of Bologna, where my research centers on fetal cardiovascular magnetic resonance in fetuses with congenital heart disease. My primary research interests include 4D Flow CMR, where I investigate its potential for analyzing complex cardiovascular hemodynamics, and the application of artificial intelligence to cardiac imaging. I am passionate about leveraging these innovative approaches to enhance diagnostic precision and streamline clinical workflows. My ultimate goal is to integrate cutting-edge technologies into routine practice, improving patient care and outcomes.
