Professor for Digital Image Analysis and Modeling

Anja Hennemuth holds a bridge professorship at the Institute for Cardiovascular Computer-Assisted Medicine at Charité and the Computer Vision Department of the Technical University of Berlin. She trained as a scientific programmer and studied computer science with a minor in medicine. During her scientific training, Ms. Hennemuth has worked in various research institutions such as the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the Philips Research Laboratories in the field of flow simulation and model-based segmentation. From 2003 to 2008, she worked at MeVis Research as a research assistant in image-based liver surgery planning and cardiovascular image analysis. Since 2009, she has headed cardiovascular research and development at the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Medicine MEVIS. As part of research and industry collaborations, her group has developed software solutions for cardiovascular image analysis and image-based modeling that are used in clinical research and diagnostics.
Anja Hennemuth conducts research in the field of integrated data analysis and therapy support. She teaches at the Charité and the TU Berlin. She is a visiting professor at the University Medical Center Hamburg Eppendorf and a fellow at the Berlin Institute for the Foundations of Learning and Data.
