Daniel Vargas, MD is associate professor of radiology and section chief of cardiothoracic imaging at the University of Colorado. Dr. Vargas serves as president-elect of the North American Society for Cardiovascular Imaging (NASCI). He has been named RSNA honored educator (2017) and has been an active educator, both in the US and internationally, including being faculty of RSNA's global learning center in Ecuador. Dr Vargas esrned his MD from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia; completed radiology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Imaging at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology.
