Ana Barac, MD, PhD

Ana Barac, MD, PhD, is a D’Aniello Chair, Cardio-Oncology at Inova Schar Cancer and Inova Schar Heart and Vascular in Northern Virginia. She also serves as a volunteer with the NHLBI's CMR Cardiovascular Physiology Laboratory and is a Professor of Medicine (Adjunct) at Georgetown University. Her clinical and research interests focus on the mechanisms, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease in patients undergoing cancer treatment and cancer survivors with emphasis on cardiac imaging, including CMR and echocardiography. Dr. Barac was the founding chair of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Cardio-Oncology Council and served as the chair of the Heart House Roundtable focused on cardiovascular disease and cancer treatment.
