Vivek Muthurangu, MD

Vivek Muthurangu is Head of Translational Cardiovascular Imaging and Professor of Cardiovascular Imaging and Physics at University College London.
Prof Muthurangu’s research revolves around the development of new imaging methodologies that allow for innovative assessment of children and adults with cardiovascular disease. During his time at UCL, he has built up a multi-disciplinary group of clinicians and physicists who have a proven track record of developing new technologies that have significant clinical impact. In particular, he has concentrated on developing techniques that allow rapid imaging of children with serious cardiac conditions without the necessity for general anesthetic.
