Pediatric Radiologist
BC Children's Hospital, Canada
I graduated from University College Cork, Medical School, Ireland (2005, Honors). I initially trained in internal medicine (BST 2009), before completing radiology residency at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, Ireland (FFR RCSI). This was followed by at two-year pediatric radiology fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston (2013-2015), where I focused on Pediatric Cardiovascular Imaging.
After fellowship I joined the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock where I was appointed the Vice Chief of the Department of Pediatric Radiology as well as Division Chief of Cardiovascular, Body, and Fetal Imaging. I moved to beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia in June of 2020, to join the Department of Radiology as Section Lead in Cardiac Radiology.
I enjoy teaching, supervising students and overseeing the rotating residents. I currently work in pediatric cardiovascular, and body imaging, including MRI, US, CT, fluoroscopy and general radiology. I am actively engaged in enhancing post-graduate medical education, fostering mentorship, and encouraging scholarship amongst radiology trainees.
My research interests include application of advanced MRI and CT techniques, using CT to establish normative values for the size of the pulmonary arteries and the airways in children.
