Dr. Soha Romeih, MD, Ph.D., FESC, FSCMR, is a consultant of adult congenital heart disease, a director of the advanced cardiovascular imaging unit at Aswan Heart Center, and an Associate professor at Tanta University, Egypt. In 2014, she was awarded her Ph.D. from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She has established a structured unit for adult congenital heart disease at Aswan Heart Centre since 2017.
Dr. Romeih has been a certified CMR trainer in congenital heart disease, according to the ESC, since 2018. CMR Lab at Aswan heart center is the first lab in the Middle East and Africa to be accredited in general and Congenital heart diseases by the ESC.
Currently, she is the president of the “Research and publication workgroup” at the Egyptian Society of Cardiology. Dr. Romeih published more than 30 articles in well-known peer-reviewed journals concerning CMR and congenital heart disease. Her main research focus is 4D CMR flow mapping in adults with congenital heart disease.
