Dr. Jennifer Co-Vu, MD, FAAP, FACC, FASE is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Radiology, Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Florida Congenital Heart Center, where she is also the Director of the Fetal Cardiac Program & the Director of the Single Ventricle Program. Dr. Co-Vu has received her medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, completed her General Pediatrics residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Following her residency, she did her Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, where she was also Chief Fellow. She also completed her Senior Fellowship in Cardiovascular Non-invasive Imaging at the Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School where she was trained as a Multimodality Imager. Dr. Co-Vu is a currently a member of the UF-CHC Non-Invasive Imaging team performing cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR), cardiac computed tomography (CT), and fetal, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography. She is also currently the chair of the American Colege of Cardiology Women in Cardiology Adult Congenital and Pediatric Cardiology Workgroup and also a member of leadership council of the national American College of Cardiology Women in Cardiology. She is the Secretary and Educations Committee Chair of the Society of Pediatric Echocardiography (SOPE). She is also the SCMR Social Media Committee Vice-Chair.
Her clinical expertise include multimodality imaging –echocardiography, fetal echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR), Cardiac Computed Tompgraphy (CT), 3D printing; single ventricle congenital heart disease; cardiovascular care of Turner syndrome patients; Her research interests include COVID19, gender equity, single ventricle outcomes, efficiency and innovation in imaging (CMR), 3D printing, conjoined twins, fetal echocardiography, digital innovation in care of CHD patients, cost analysis in prenatal diagnosis of congenital heart disease, maternal hyperoxygenation in congenital heart disease.
